Jill Johnson is Named Chair of the Homes for Heroes Foundation Board of Directors

May 20, 2016 – Minneapolis, MN –

 Jill J. Johnson, president of Johnson Consulting Services, has been named as the new Chair of the Homes for Heroes Foundation. Johnson is the president and founder of Johnson Consulting Services, is an award-winning management consultant specializing in strategy development and developing strategies for growth.

The Foundation was established to provide financial assistance and housing resources to our nation’s heroes who are in dire need of support. These heroes include military personnel, police/peace officers and first responders.

The other new Homes for Heroes Foundation board members include: 

  • John Pacheco Jr., president and CEO of the Latino Chamber of Commerce Minnesota, is a seasoned foundation executive who previously directed the philanthropic and community relations efforts for U.S. Bank and served as Corporate Citizenship Director for the Xcel Energy Foundation.
  • Daniel Statsick is the Chief Financial Officer at PropCo Capital Trust. He currently serves as Chair of the Children’s Cancer Research Fund and has served as Past Chair of the Ronald McDonald House of the Upper Midwest.                                                                                  

Ruth Johnson (no relation), founder of the Homes for Heroes Foundation, said, “I am so excited we are bringing on such accomplished business executives such as Jill to our foundation board. Johnson is a widely-respected business executive and leader who has been a member of the boards of directors and executive committees of various business, professional, and governmental boards. Jill has served on two federal boards under three different United States presidents representing both political parties.

Johnson has won numerous honors for her business acumen, her leadership savvy, as well as her entrepreneurial success. She has been quoted on a range of management issues in national media including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Money Magazine, Inc., Success, and Entrepreneur. Jill has appeared as a thought leader on a variety of radio and television programs for business. She is also a 4th generation entrepreneur who grew up in a family-owned business.

Johnson earned her B.S. degree in Business Administration from Drake University with a double major in marketing and management. She also earned an MBA from Drake University at the age of 23.
